It's been a month since my last post...a lot has happened since then! We've said good bye to family and friends in BC and have moved to where God has called us to serve Him, in Saskatoon! We are so thankful for the blessing that our church family in Richmond, our family and our friends gave us as we packed up and left. Thanks for all your support and prayers. We had a very smooth trip out...we are thankful to God for His protection and for the nice surprise that the girls were very content as we drove for 20+ hours. Right now we are enjoying housesitting...it is so neat how God provides above and beyond what we could ever ask or imagine! The house is perfect for our girls as their second cousin (who lives in the house we're housesitting) is just two months younger than Jena...so everything is "kid friendly"!
We have only been here a week but are already starting to fall in love with Saskatoon!
Here are some things we love about Saskatoon...
1.) The sun always shines here...okay almost always
2.) The Saskatoon zoo with their "zebra wagons" (as seen in the picture) and a train you can ride on for free
3.) The pace of life is slower
4.) The huge sky (without any mountains blocking it) is beautiful
5.) The many many free waterparks and paddling pools
6.) The pelican waterslide
7.) The train, merry go round and ferris wheel at Kinsmen Park
8.) The car insurance that is half the price of BC's
9.) You don't need to worry about earthquakes...you just have to look out for tornados
10.) The Dollorama store where everything actually is a dollar!
So hopefully as you read this you may want to discover all the treasures that Saskatoon holds for yourself and come visit us!!

Sounds like you are enjoying your new home and that you are transitioning smoothly -- I am so glad for you.
God bless you as you build your new home and seek out all new friendships & community. I am praying for one really good friend for you Krista -- maybe someone who doesn't go to your church so you can be free to say anything at all to her. :)

That does sound very appealing! I'm glad you found so many great things where you are now living. There is good to be found everywhere isn't there?!
so good to hear that you had a safe trip. Yes, the prairies do sound appealing.....and all along I though it was just flat and plain. May have to consider making a trip down there as a family vacation.
