Swimming and Games Night

Yesterday Josie and Jena had their first swimming lesson. I drove into town with my good friend Kelsie who also lives here at camp and her 6 month old daughter who has swimming lessons right after our girls. It was fun to go together.
The girls did really well at their lesson. They had fun dumping water over their teacher's head (the deal was, each child could dump a whole pail full of water over her head if she could dump a little on each of theirs), doing starfish floats and pencil floats and alligator crawls. I was very impressed how brave they were (they both put their faces in the water numerous times) and how well they listened and followed directions! Then afterwards, they had fun watching Alexis in her lesson (they both love her so much!)




I find that our evenings here are so nice and relaxed because there is no where to rush off too after supper. It's too far to go grocery shopping or run to the store, so we often just give the girls a bath, put their jammies on and then play games. Josie and Jena's current favorite game is "Guess Who"...which we bought at a garage sale for $2. I was so excited to find it because I loved playing as a kid. Anyhow, we're enjoying "the simple life". It's slow and relaxing with lots of family time. I hope that when we do move to the next place God leads us we can keep up this kind of "simple lifestyle".
